Seven people were injured on May 1 in an early morning collision between a car and a New Jersey Transit bus in Newark. The driver of the car reportedly attempted to flee the scene of the accident despite being critically injured and was soon apprehended by police on suspicion of drunk driving.
Authorities report that, on April 13, a 27-year-old male bicyclist was injured after a driver reportedly struck him and then drove away. The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in Winslow Township.

On Feb. 19, a 77-year-old Bayonne woman crashed her BMW SUV through the front door of the Wendy's restaurant on Lefante Way at approximately 3:12 p.m. The SUV drove about ten feet into the interior of the restaurant, stopping just before hitting the back wall.
